The bank sizes only really became a problem, when the alliance bank could be used to increase user banks, and the alliance banks had been building up for like 1/2 a decade...

Could we not base it the old way, on miners and lifers. Those that aren't over their limit should deal with it, those banks over would be applied similar to MSs that ascend and have more weapons then slots. You can't add more to the bank, but the naq doesn't leak out until you go back under?

And yes, I would be affected, as before this update, my bank was 5T, and is now more then 10x that...

I proposed something similar, with a bit more leniency... but not in this thread... ;)
basically, I'd give you 24 - 48 hours to refill it...
mostly in case you pulled out too much by mistake,
or forgot that you had a broker outstanding with a giant boatload of naq aboard...


To be honest though, if we are going to undue all the special bank upgrades:

1) I want to know what my personal bank would be going back down to,
and I want to know first, before I am okay with it, go along with it, etc... 8-[


2) My alliance wants it's bank back... or our entire alliance's years of taxed naquadah
doled out to current members with a free ppt. :smt117

I stil say give everyone 1quad banks, or change the income->banksize equation to vastly increase size, 397mil miners and only 84 tril bank is obnoxious when people with 0 miners have 3 quad banks.

So once I buy my next covert level will my bank size increase again to hold the amount for the level that follows???

People with covert 39 have 3.2q banks no matter if yhey have 1 miner or 500mill.

Which is ridiculous!... but it's no surprise cos this game has gone from patches to patches to suit certain players game at certain times...

<rant> from market manipulations, to ascended rules change, to "minor" modifications to calculations, to this... they all came because "some" players requested them in the admin meets and admin didn't asked the community if they're going to be good or not, he just looked at the names who suggested them, if they could be associated with his wallet, or how hard they screamed... </rant>

Well since my account is fairly new (since May) I think I should say something here.
I think it's a fairly good update that you should be able to save up to next covert level. This actually helps new players more than you think.

It was taking to long to get bank size up as a new player given army size and having little to no bonuses affecting income from no ascensions/ few ascensions.
After my first ascension, my bank was only around 300 bil,6 weeks as I got the full SS first. It reached 600bil before the first bank upgrade to 1 tril.

First of all it would take a new account waaaay too long to be able have a bank to be able to save up for coverts of level 30 or over. This allows them to catch up to older players. While also allowing mid-players to catch up to top level guys without spending $.

Secondly, new players don't have 10's or 100's of tril of banks space to fight wars. I believe this helps newer players ability to fight a war because they'll have bigger bank spaces. It seems to me like you need quite a large bank space these days to be able train 10's of mils of supers and weapons. They now have a better chance of rebuilding and striking back, rather than strike once, get massed and remain pretty much statless as they can't afford to build large again as quick.

Thirdly, it helps for trading. Now they can easily buy UU's with their savings and a few K turns also. Just because sometimes 3,450 personal AT's is just not enough for the week and you can't play everyday so your going to be on PPT for 2 days most weeks and 4 days others thus less AT's. This increased trade ability has personally affected my growth ability as a relatively new account holder. =D>

Yes, that is a problem as ye mentioned about having no miners but practically unlimited bank space and that seems to be the only problem :-k Although most people are going to want to earn something while they are on PPT. They could just train them when they want to but they'll be left with lifers, which they'll have to kill off by suiciding, using turns. Seems like too much hassle to me :-k I'm not saying that this is still not a problem though.
