Bad Luck.

Do you believe in bad luck? I normally believed that what goes around, comes around. I do not know if I just have terrible luck lately, or if I am just losing my mind and over thinking things.

1) A few weeks ago, my girlfriend passes away.

2) A week after that, a woman who was equivalent to my best friend refuses to speak to me anymore for no reason that I am told.

3) Two days after that, I get into a car accident where a tire flies off a trailer and totals the car. If my father had not hit the brakes, I would not be here today.

4) Two days after that, an ex-girlfriend I loved for two years of my life who made promises to me comes to me and tells me that instead of committing to a relationship with me, she doesn't want to be with me and two months after leaving me she sleeps with somebody for the first time.

Is this just a run of bad luck? I mean, I cannot even take a piss without stubbing my toe on something or jamming my finger on the wall. It's gotten so bad that today, I simply walked by a drawer, and caught my finger in it, pinching it till it bled.

Normally, I would not ask this as it is very personal to me and I hate this type of attention but I have to know what somebody else thinks for I am lost as to what the hell is going on with my life, and I am going completely insane as the equivalent.

It's not bad luck Nooby, everyone in their lives have this at one point or another. It usually happens for us to see what's truly important. My advice to you is, make a list of things that are vital to you and focus on those. Ignore anything that's not really really important and shield yourself from anyone that can upset you for a few days. Take 1 or 2 off to think about it, list some goals then pursue them. This will eventually go away, trust me.
Also, in times like these i find it most apropiate to pray. With a broken heart God listens to us and hears our cries a lot better.

It's not bad luck, it's just that sometimes things like this happen far apart from each other, but sometimes they happen within a small timeframe.

But on a personal note I'm very sorry to hear of you loss and bad experiences of the recent past.

We should do a mini meet. 8-[

Noobert, I've already talked to you about this, so I see no reason to post here. But I'm always here when you need someone to listen or whatever. Good advice in here so far, though. :-)

Also, I've not been up to the Vancouver area of BC. All my previous BC trips have been to Kingsgate.

*first non-mod post*

unfortunately, life sucks sometimes, and there doesnt seem to be much we can do to make it better

surround yourself with friends, who you respect and who respect you; and make the most of what you have

eventually we all come to see the negatives a little too often, and most people learn to deal with it, through religion or friends/family or whatever.

hope you get through it

EDIT: ahh damn, femme beat me to it while i was writing this :(

Life is none stop pain and misery. Anybody that tells you differently is either trying to sell you something or have you sex with you. There's no bad luck - it's just the bad world we live in. A world where having a sense of right and wrong is considered just as great a disability as having no legs. Honestly, I'd get used to it.

Mordack tells it as it is.

In any case, if you ever want to vent, let me know. I can take a hit, so feel free to use me as a punching bag, mister Noobert. :smt050
These things suck. Be careful not to start thinking you are the cause, 'cause you're not. I'll refer to Mordack.

For a moment then, I thought you were suggesting I am the cause.
