I know that Football = soccer, however i fail to recognize it any more than a hobby. There is very little excitement in the game. Yes i have attempted to watch a game, passed out after 20mins out of boredom.

On the other side, american (and canadian) football, is something i also dislike. Played it, hated it. Im more of a winter person anyway, which means i like hockey and lacrosse.

The differences between Canadian and American football are miniscule, except for the fact we Canadians have bigger balls. ;)

In reply to JT's early points about Rugby. Jonah Lomu.. >.>

but in general for rugby you need fitness, you need more stamina as there are no stops inbetween play.

Pops and how many of those AFL players that went and played Rugby, a game they are not conditioned for and anyone who knows sports knows that conditioning for every sport is extremely different, injured themselves because they are used to throwing their entire body weight behind something and having the padding to insure that they dont break everything? Now yes on an international scale soccer/Futbol/Football is a larger game and yes had the name first; but if you think for an instant that there isn't a reason that it is American Football then you are not paying enough attention, it is a totally different game with a caveat in front of the name to signify that this is not Football its American Football or lower case f football, whereas worldwide you guys say Football with a capital F and yes that is a big difference.

I am not a Football fan, I find the game to much like pong back and forth back and forth back and forth back and forth he shoots blocked back and forth back and forth........etc....a game like that holds no interest for most Americans, we prefer short burst all of which are exciting rather than extended lull time in case something might happen.

You can show more heart and determination if stamina is involved in my opinion. It gives an extra dimension. Anyone here who has played football or rugby competitively will tell you that.

the thing about handegg players is that they all wear such big pads, i don't think they are the best people to judge on even ronaldo's diving antics.
