Glorious 39

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1319694/

Just watched this on BBC2, apparently released in 2009 but never heard of it before today. Not being a hollywood blockbuster it didnt get much press, never saw it advertised in cinema's but what a hidden gem.

Glorious is the name of the lead character and it's set in 1939 on the eve of the 2nd world war, period family drama meets espionage & politics. Wont go into detail because I dont want to spoil the plot for ya'll

Mezz recommends ( 9/10 dont think Ive ever given a 10/10 so 9 is pretty damn good ) :D

Budget:
£3,700,000 (estimated)
Opening Weekend:
£7,654 (UK) (22 November 2009) (1 Screen)
Gross:
£301,813 (UK) (21 February 2010)

I feel bad for whomever financed that movie, but I'll take a peak at it tonight and vote.

IF YOU LIED TO ME MEZZ, I WILL TAKE YOUR WIFE/GIRLFRIEND/SISTER.

Hmm I never really looked at the costs before, but the only other movie I watched this weekend was Coyboys & Aliens which cost $163 Mill and has taken $67 Mill todate

So

Glorious 39 was brilliant but lost £3.4 mill because it had no advertising,

Cowboys & Aliens was complete trash and lost $96 mill, and even though it took $67 mill so far in cinema's alll of that was from hype & adverts & two highly paid 'stars' we expect good movies from, and I suspect like me most people will regret wasting their time & money watching it.

Have I ever lied to you ??? Either way your welcome to my Sister on the condition you take her to Canada, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, maybe 1000s of miles between us will make me like her lol

I have watched this movie, or part of up until now (damn Dad and his fishing, damn internet and being out) and I recommend this movie as well.

It feels to me like the old version of mystery, and thriller. Any of you know what I am talking about? The movies where everything was a mystery until it was revealed at the end?

Very interesting movie. Me likey.

You can keep your evil sister. :smt047
