I'm looking for an old movie

It's prob a movie that came out between 1990 - 2001
The villain is played by Tim Curry, in this film he's a terrorist leader and builds a speedboat, armed to the teeth and he's fighting a guy originally on some old fishing boat or something but he changes the boat to something more up to date to fight the terrorists.
This movie is set around some Islands and is basically just about these guys fighting each other on boats.
I can't seem to find it on imdb and I saw it when I was very young so I can't remember the name. Any idea's?

It sounds a heck of a lot like Waterworld....but the bad guy in that is Dennis Hopper not Tim Curry?

Retired Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale spends his days puttering around the Caribbean in the old PT-73 selling homebrew, ice cream, and swimsuit calendars. He's brought out of retirement when his old nemesis turned the second best terrorist in the world, Major Vladikov, takes over the island of San Moreno and starts building a nuclear launch silo on it. With help from his old crew and hindrances from Captain Wallace B. Binghampton, who sank a cruise liner a while back, McHale tries to put Vladikov out of business. Never seen it, but it looks like really cheesy rubbish, the kind of thing we all enjoyed when very young. I recommend you dont re-watch it, it's no doubt much better as a childhood memory than as a movie.

It sounded like Waterworld to me, but probably something else...
As for "old movie"...When I saw "old movie" I thought about original Scarface of the early 1930's lol.

Hmm old is very subjective. Have to admit I dont consider stuff made in the 1990s to be old, but people who do probably consider me to be old lol

Mezz is correct that the movie Kjarkur is thinking about is McHales Navy, as I vaguely remember seeing it early on in college when a roomie rented it one weekend

We remember seeing that movie. Cant recall much of it, but it was fun watching, that much we recall.
