It's such a sad anniversary, my condolences to the families who lost someone ten years ago in this tragedy, the most casualties-costly assault by terrorists during my lifetime.
I remember the shock it was for me when I saw it on TV channels, back from school to learn that over two thousand people were killed in a multi planes attack. The shock must have been much stronger for people who lived around there and/or had someone in the towers when it happened.

I think every sane person will agree this was a horrific, unforgivable & pointless attack on civilians. The victims, families & 1st responders ( Being mostly US but also people of a dozen other nationalities and various religions ) suffered & died in the worst crime in most peoples living memory.

I also think this is a Kennedy Assassination or Moon Landing type moment in history, everyone seems to remember exactly where they were when the Twin Towers fell.

Personally I was in work, one person heard and the news spread around the officer in minutes. Work just stopped while everyone stunned & shocked logged on to the BBC website, turned on radios etc to find out what was happening.

I was waking up in L.A. and switched on the TV and saw it. Was around 9am in L.A. Can't believe it was 10 years ago.

I was in science class when it came on the news. Terrible day... but it's also my birthday and the day I graduated from basic training, so it's not all bad memories for me.
