I've been thinking that I am not particularly bothered about the lost gameplay time or generation of resources but do feel slightly annoyed that the server roll back will of course roll back generated GnR points. This might seem trivial to some but for those snail-pacing it along at 1 per turn, a week is a very valuable 3rd of the amount required to ascend.

I appreciate we're all facing the same fate but will there be any considerations for compensation with regard to GnR?

I think it would be nice, it would give some of our lesser and smaller unascended counterparts a nice boost in a challenging enviroment where they have already been punished for reasons not under their control.

You can argue morality, 'omg protect teh newbz', or even damages to your source of income (Naq/UU for $-trades) caused by the server's downtime.
You can do that. You can concur with that. Many people will.
It will not change the fact that it will not happen.

...and you asked Jason if he was going to allow GnR to be given to those within the ranks? You asked him this specifically?

If you trully believe that a community cannot change the opinion or decisions of the owner of this game, then you are extremely short sighted. A game which he has kept alive not for love but for revenue.

If it is true that you genuinely know what Jason intends to do/not to do then that is a great shame as he obviously has shown that he has time to talk to people...why is he answering your questions and not ours?

A community? Poor choice. This community might, if it could present a united, vocal front. It cannot. You are misinformed regarding the reasons the game is still 'alive'.

I will state that in general, it is not at all easy to ignore someone who is on your phone, and very easy to ignore people who are on a forum.

One last question...are you and J intimately involved?

I think Juliette was answering from logic - ie: if he gives gnr, then people will be pestering for income/up, and for various other things they feel entitled to. Just be glad the game is back

As for your belief that this community can change J's position? If that were true, why do we still have planets? Houses? The list goes on....

Jason recieves $X per annum for this game

If Jason recieves $0 per annum from this game for doing A.

Jason might stop doing A so he can buy some B with his $X.

Anything is possible, however, people still like the game and will continue to play regardless of their thoughts on updates.

I'm not saying it will happen...especially over 7 days GnR, however, it is simply not true. Jason is human and therefore malleable to change.

Subject to change indeed, such as, out of many and various possibilities, if people complain too much to him about "<insert item> should be done" in mails/PMs might send him -out of what he promised to do-, he might decide to take an extra week of vacation for the game.
