So just watched the new episode that aired tonight, the one with ashton kutcher in it.
To my surprise it was actually very good. lol. Cant wait to see more. And they actually killed charlie. i kind of thought they would but just chose not to believe it. And i cant believe the amount they abused him in the episode, it was like their own personnal way of saying "**censored** you" to charlie sheen. i loved it. lol. kutcher was brilliant in it.
What does everyone else think.

A completely different show.

I do not like the digs at charlie, such as the threesome comment. I think that is just petty on behalf of chuck lorre.

I'll prolly watch it, to just see what they do with the story/what happens for the rest of the cast. I doubt I'll care if I miss any episodes though.

The only reason i liked the digs at charlie is because everything that happened was his own damn fault. I dont care about this whole "it was because of the drugs" etc etc etc. Its his life, he chose how to run it, and it was his fault he got the boot. Just my opinion.

This is soley based on the first ep but i think the show will be fine. And tbh, it will refresh it a bit. The story before was getting a bit old/drawn out/same thing over and over.

I dont really like Kutcher as an actor(excluding his performance in butterfly effect), but from what i seen in the first episode i think he will be a good addition to the show.

A UK channel called Comedy Central show several old episodes of 2 & 1/2 Men every day.

To be honest this is never a show I turn the TV on to watch, but if Im bored, channel hoping and come across an episode I havent seen yet then I will watch & enjoy it.

Couple of points

1) The amount Charlie Sheen was paid per episode was insane & disgusting, all these so called 'stars' get paid far more than they could ever be worth.

2) The show is based around Charlie Sheen's character and I cant imagine it being worth watching without him, Would have been better to either ignore the media frenzy or cancel the show.

3) I dont give a damn how much cocaine, booze or whatever actors do in their private time so long as they entertain on screen. Charlie Sheen's only mistake was being honest & public about his indulgences.

Just watched it on youtube....never really understood why Charlie was paid so much for it, but it was a decent filler show if nothing else was on.

However, without him it just doesn't work. Its like Fresh Prince without Will Smith - bits are funny, but there's nothing holding it together ;)

Thats insane viewing figures, wonder how much they will drop by next week lol

I dont understand, just read the synopses and it says the new guy bought Charlies Beachhouse. Why didnt Alan inherit it ? Why does he still live there if it was sold ?

Actually dont answer, I was curious for a moment but the moment has passed and now I dont care again lol

Bottom line, I actually enjoyed it.

Over the past few seasons, Alan became as much a part of the comedy of the show as Charlie much in the same way SG-1, to a degree, matured to a point where O'Neill was no longer all it was about. Because of that, I think that the show can survive for a couple more seasons in the new format.

And, though they killed off Charlie, it's not outwith the realm of possibility they could bring him back. Rose was the only one to witness the death and, as for the ashes, those are easily faked. So, never say never basically.

All told, it will never be quite as good without Sheen but decent enough for fans of the show to get another few hits before weening themselves off.

I didn't mind it too much, but think they should have devoted more time to Charles death, and eased the new character in slower.

I was happy to see the guest appearance by Dahma and Greg (I miss that show)
