Same, I just bought a ppt before I went to bed last night. I wake up this morning and it says I only have 828 minutes left.

This is because the server was given a server-wide PPT and therefore erased any existing PPT. Many were affected.

then we should be getting that market turn back
I also lost a days worth.
I've had server wide PPTs before while on ppt, they have never erased anything just compounded.
Agreed I want my Market Turn back
Finally managed to log in only to find I have lost 20 hours off my PPT !!!!
Instead of lasting until I get home late tomorrow night, it will now end at 3am when Im tucked up in bed, so now I will have set off another PPT tonight to make sure my stats dont get wiped out offline. So 2 market turns wasted.
Admin I am NOT happy
And where the hell is the communication, why cant Admin show the common courtesy of keeping us informed, rough estimates of time the game will be down, some kind of progress report just so we know where we stand. I wouldn't care if the game was down for 3 hours, 3 days, even another week so long as I knew to expect it.

Amelia has already said that Jason is working hard on fixing everything. I think we as a community can at least sit back, be patient and let Jason fix the damn server.

Its not about patience, I already said I dont care if it takes a week to fix so long as we have a timescale.
Do I PPT tonight, or will admin be doing more fixes and set off another short server PPT to cancel out mine and put be in the open when Im offline, off crit/nox etc
Just a note to say 'we will attempt to restart the game at x time, or on x day' so we can PPT, train, switch on crit/nox, merlin, etc accordingly. Id rather the game be down for a day knowing when to expect it back than a couple of hours not knowing when it will be up and down.
I think you've been to long out of the game Clarkey, you dont seem to understand players any more.

The server-wide PPT causing existing PPTs to disappear is a blip, not something that usually happens during a server-wide PPT.
It is all about patience. If you lose a few resources here and there during this big mess it's hardly a catastrophe is it.
And I think Mezz you've been in the game too long to realise it's just a game. You'd rather have a working game than a broken one right? So just let admin do his work.

You really dont read posts do you ?
YES PREFER IT WORKING EVEN IF IT TAKES A WEEK, JUST WANT TO KNOW A SET TIMESCALE INSTEAD OF GAME UP AND DOWN RANDOMLY WITH PPTS GIVEN / HALVED WITHOUT NOTICE SO CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY !!!!
As for losing resources, means nothing to you maybe, ask the people who bought duals off the game, bought resources / SS for merlins off the game to build those planets what losing them due to bugs means to them ?

Clarkey, I think everyone here realizes it's just a game - that excuse/reasoning/whatever you wanna call it is just overused BS
I also think that Mezz is right, we need more communication. When a game goes down, the developer(s) usually tend to keep their player base informed. I don't see why this game should be any different. Everyone here understands that there are going to be ups and downs, all that's being asked is for a bit of developer-to-user communication.
And Clarkey, player frustrations over a game not working is not a sign of 'taking the game too seriously'. It is NOT the user end's responsibility to ever 'suck it up' or 'cope with' the developer's issues. It is the developer's head ache to make sure that the user end is kept satisfied through any discrepancies in performance. Don't try to make this game any different just because the player base is smaller and arguably a more tight-knit group than in other cases.

Same thing happened to me I lost more than a days worth of ppt I set ppt during the night and when I woke up in the moring instead of having like 2000 minutes left I had 900...
Should we use another ppt or will server ppt be extended and will be get the market point reset or ppt extended......
Just a few thoughts.

I gotta say clarkey.. I'm the last one to agree with anything mezz sez but just chill.. Yes we know admin is fixing stuff and it wasn't intentional that the server ppt nixed our ppts... does this screw people over? yeah.
The whole point of the server being down for days and days was to make sure it was working right.. of course there is gonna be some more beta testing the new server live.
Would it be nice if things would be known? probably. Is that realistic? probably not. But don't try and mock people for not being happy with not knowing if their ppts are gonna randomly end and get hit because they "lose" resources. No it isn't the end of the world but telling people its not a catastrophe isn't going to make anyone relax.
edit:
he added additional ppt time... this should cover those who lost due to the server ppt removing ppt time from the personal ppts. He said (obviously) that this shouldn't have happened. Anyways. Thanks

I'm not trying to mock anyone or anything. But people are expecting common courtesy of admin coming on the forum and saying "i'm working on it"? There may not even be timescales possible to give. If game goes down people assume admin will know roughly how long for, but it is not always possible. It's a waste of time having admin come on here saying "i'm working on it just so you know, but i don't have any timescales", when he could be better spending his time fixing the problems. With the rate of bugs popping up and game going up and down atm admin would be here all the time posting.
If anyone really has a problem with the fact they can't time manage their account then just vac it until this is all over.
