Is there a way to search on google, as if I was in the year of 2008..? or any other search engine?

I need to see what scientists were saying about this thing that they said was going to happen, but has already happened.. so if I do a search now, all I get is the new links..

ok im trying to search of all the files/internet posts about predictions of things going faster than the speed of light and the hypotheses (Im sure there were before this paper was released recently)... and now that their stupid paper got released.. thats all I see when I search google.

edit : OMG I figured it out..... there was a little tab on the left side of google that lets me check the time that I want to search, COOL!

You could also try the internet archive for specific sites:
