CNN wrote:Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, has died, according to the company. He was 56.

The hard-driving executive pioneered the concept of the personal computer and of navigating them by clicking onscreen images with a mouse. In more recent years, he introduced the iPod portable music player, the iPhone and the iPad tablet -- all of which changed how we consume content in the digital age.

Jobs had battled cancer for years, took a medical leave from Apple in January and stepped down as CEO in August because he could "no longer meet (his) duties and expectations."

True visionary, the man who pushed the idea of a personal computer all the way from the first desktops to modern tablets.

A good businessman, a clever marketer and a shrewd showman. I hate his products, and I hate the kind of people who use them, but I respect him for his chutzpah.

Indeed. It takes a special kind of car salesman to repaint an old Mercedes and sell it as a Maybach.

Agreed. I would not call Steve Jobs am innovator, just someone great at marketing. In fairness, Apple has pushed technology forward, but not as innovators.

Some of us remember the times where pc's did not come with a mouse and a GUI was almost sci-fi.

The Mac changed that.

P.S.Yes, there was an Apple before the i pod, i phone and the i pad.

P.P.S. To the Bill Gates bashers: there would be probably no modern day Apple without Bill Gates' help / investment. So learn your history :)
