MSN issue/contact list/offline

I have added a player on MSN yesterday, Stuart Gordon. He apparently didn't receive the invitation and couldn't validate it. He added me and I validated his invite. However he cannot see me in his contact list despite I validated his invite, I also appear offline to him. I on the other hand can see him online and on my contact list and talk to him. When he talks to me, some of his messages never reach me, it appears as he says nothing while he does.
Any idea how to fix it?

delete then re invite

I had a similar problem but with all of my contacts, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled and it was back.

I had this kind of issue when I first started using MSN. I wound up deleting my one contact I had at the time, the re-invited them. It worked just fine after that.

get him to check he hasn't got you set to appear off line to...messenger live seems to block ppl on its own accord
