How do I deal with this?

This morning I was massed. I went to bed pretty excited because I was getting close to the 118 rank for 5G&R per turn (I just started playing again and ascended once already).
The people who massed me gave me the reason "We were bored."
What is the best way to deal with this? I have been with no defense, 1/3 of the weapons I had, no spies, nothing.
Its pretty sad that people would just mass for boredom, I was really having fun with this game. I most likely will continue playing, but because my account is so new it feels like a very heavy blow.

The two people were Tosci (ID 1956506) and HePe (ID 1913683).

They are DDE so there is nothing really you can do about other then sending a pm to ID 1918344 who is leader of DDE...
Now how much was your total loses ?

One of the reasons one of them said they massed me for was I had too many spies for my defense. I lost about 6m defenders, 10m spies, and 1.5m attack weapons.
I will most likely contact that person, ask him why and such.

I appreciate the help financially, really, but this post was more on how to handle it and better set myself up in the future so this wouldn't happen again.
I think I'll just keep with a low profile and hope this random massing doesn't come knocking on my door again.

There are some alliances that are best to keep away from even if u r massed, as to keep your account ....

A great suggestion, join a big alliance and they won't mass you.
