New TV series that has just been officially picked up for a full first season. Modern day police detective has cases featuring the characters in the Grimm fairy tales. The twist is, he's a decendant of the Grimms and he can see the true nature of these creatures hiding in humanity when they lose their control.

So far it makes for an interesting series. I'm a little bit bias in my love for it because it is a show that is filmed in my hometown that actually confesses to being my hometown. Leverage is filmed here, too, but they like to say that it's Boston. (PFFFFFFT)

Added bonus. The series is actually kind of dark with some suspense and a hint of an edge. Not all the way to scary, in my opinion, but it's damn fine suspense. Their work on the creatures is pretty good, too.

I am watching this series, and enjoy it.

The CGI is awful though..

On a better note, the best part about the story is the plot. Very interesting.

I wouldn't say awful. It actually does pretty well for a series that hadn't even been picked up by a network yet.

Low budget CGI? It shows, but it still is a good show.

I just wish the heads of the mythological creatures were not horrible. Like some 1980's Horror Movie. :(

Just caught up on this series, TBH I wasn't going to bother and only watched it because all the other series I like took a 6-8 week break over Xmas & New year.

The single episode stories are quite amusing, the baddies are all familiar yet with new twists and the background story is building nicely. Main characters are OK, the main guy, his fiance' and his cop partner are a bit dull but the wolf guy is good, loved the episode with the crazy wolf biker gal, also liked the one with the feral wolf girl in the forest. Hope to see more of the baddy gal who I recon will switch sides at some point.

Overall not great but good entertainment if you got some time to kill, and since it's quite light hearted & not to nasty you can watch with all the family.

I love Grimm and how it's developed so far. Sure it could still improve in some ways. It reminds me of a male version of Buffy in some ways.
