How can bots report posts?

Was looking at whos online and I saw this. I am wondering how they can do this, as I dont know much about bots. Arnt they just computers or something?

I don't know anything about bots either but it probably just clicked the link to report a post, and then got confused as **Filtered** and continued on it's way.

This is correct. The bot would have clicked the button but it would have got a page saying you do not have the relevant permissions etc then it would have moved on.

The bots here have funny names... the one you should really be afraid of is IMT Research. Its a really scary bot...
