was under impression that Koj was there longer than 6months... when did it get changed?

It was always 6 months.....as far back I can remember.

Nope. I actually wrote out a long, detailed post about it a long time ago, but I can't find that post now.
Anyway, the duration changed a LOT in the beginning. When I took office it was supposed to only last a month or something. But it became a 6 month term while I was in office.

It has been subject to change over the years, but 6 months is a reasonable period. Forums initial setup contained no actual timeline for new elections, although he did declare that the ombudsman has to be elected by the entire community.

There have been quite a few debates on the nature, responsibilities and power of the ombudsman.
