Is it possible to use javascript on forum signatures on this forum? And how?... i mean what are the tags that specify where the script starts and where it ends?

What I basically want is to use the event "onmouseover" to change something.

actually, there's no option for enabling it available in the ACP.
It might be possible to add such option through a modification, but at the moment, there is nothing like it.

Actually, my statement was wholly truthful. The option does not exist on this board, but if it did it would be disallowed. Therefore it is not possible on this forum, which was the question.

It depends. You can use Javascript on this forum; but only from your browser, and it will not show for others.
I believe Greasemonkey uses Javascript? It shows all posts in a thread on one page, in my case. So yes, I use Javascript on this forum. Like one uses a hammer on an anvil.
(Then again, the above invalidates my earlier "You just don't allow it"; so I take that back.) Do not try to fool the Aka.

I wanted the js even - thing to happen for everyone, cos for me, it wouldn't matter, so if the admins said, that this feature is not available, thats no problem.

Allow css too, and external files, see how quickly sigs lag the server
