I need help. I broke my phone and have to replace it. I've narrowed it down to two and need help deciding. Differences are highlighted in yellow. Any thoughts/opinions would really help me out. :-)

All names removed to neutralize any bias/favoritism. If you vote, please say why so I know what to look for.

I would go with the left, The skype app doesnt matter, cause you can always download it from the market. With the Camera specs, unless you really are into how much quality you want if you take like over 25 pics a day, it shoudnt really matter.

With the memory, unless you take so many pics and videos and have so many apps on your phone that you just have to have, memory is a must, but if you dont do all them you dont need much memory. Theres also the fact that you can transfter files to your laptop/computer.

But also you should look at some reviews too.

Thats my take on it.

I just want to check and see which prices you're talking about. I'm looking at paying the $99.99 or $149.99.

Thank you.

Phone 1 (the left) has a 4/5 star rating out of 123 reviews.
Phone 2 (the right) has a 4/5 star rating out of over 1400 reviews.

I momentarily checked out both while in the store and saw some things I liked and disliked about each of them. Phone 1 is a lot bigger than most phones out there today; it's a lot longer and it is not a full display (there is that interior black border that makes it much smaller. However, it works quickly and it is cheaper than the other. Phone 2 takes a bit more time to load on an app like Maps when you are searching for something, and uses only a virtual keyboard (and I have never had a phone without any keys before, so I am cautious). However, it's global ready so I would not have to worry if/when I travel again and it is a lot easier to hold and type on than Phone 1 (even without the QWERTY keyboard).

One of the biggest reasons I need a new phone is that the touch screen on my current phone is becoming unreliable and it is out of warranty. I also recently experienced a total loss of any/all ringtones, including those which came standard, and now I get the feeling this may just be the beginning.

Names do count for a little to be honest. In my experience, Nokia makes sturdier phones than say.. LG.

One is HTC, one is Samsung. I like Samsung. All of my phones so far have been Samsung. HTC would be a new experience, but I have heard good things.

I own a HTC Touch Pro. It has treated me quite well, so it has my recomandation. My dad has a Samsung so i think it's an issue of tastes. :)

HTC phones are good. I have the HTC Inspire right now. My last one was the HTC Tilt 2 for over 2 years.

But I would still pick phone 1.

Ah, I see and understand. I would pick phone 1, Sometimes phones with virtual keyboards can be a pain sometimes when it slows down when you type too fast or something and when your phone starts to sucks and break.

The size of the phone doesnt matter to me, personally as long as the phone works the way it is supposed to me then its fine with me.

Size is only an issue for me because women's jeans rarely come with very deep pockets anymore. I have a few pairs in which my current phone just barely fits, and I refuse to put a phone in a back pocket. Not the kind of issue you, or most members of the forum, would need to consider, but it's necessary for me. I have to hook my knife to my belt as it is.

I see. Maybe you can do what most women do with things.....put it in your bra strap area. ;)

If you could, you can buy one of those phone cases where you hook it up on your belt loop or belt.

:smt043 That would merely make one of my B cups look rectangular.

I've considered the belt hook, but it never feels like the phone is 100% secure and I know it would drive me crazy(ier).

:smt017 :smt017 Well in that case...do it anyways. :smt019

Well what you can do is put it backwards....but it would take a bit longer to get out and you might miss a call. :-k

I'm guessing the one on the right is the Samsung Galaxy SII, just a guess but judging from the 8MP camera. Either way I'd say go for the Samsung
