how do you train untrained mercs?

you can't. they are useless.

i try to get 2-500m of em before ascending

Regular mercs do, untrained mercs do not.

it has changed, and regular mercs cost more aaaand you can only have so many of em where as untrained mercs.... you can have asmany as you can get

Regulars still cost 3,000 naquadah a pop, and untrained still cost 1,500. The whole point of them being useless (as has been the case for 6 years) is that they have no use, except as a very safe - albeit costly - alternative bank. A use which, since the minimum bank size laziness-fix, has become worthless.

they give points to ascended, this is use enough for me

Are they still limited to 2.1bil something possible to buy, or can they be acquired to infinity?

but i am shure there is sme limmit to it

at least there is some value in them for ascension
