The Collective - Greatest of Days

Hello Everyone,
As some of you might know by now The Collective is once again no more and sadly this is for the last time it shall not be coming back from the ashes like the Pheniox it used to be. I have now moved onto another alliance and plan to continue on a new path with friends of old and some new ones as well. This post is a tribute to the people that helped create the Greatest days of my SGW game life.
How The Collective was Formed:-
[spoiler]A friend of mine ~Jason~ and myself at the time were in an alliance called The Great Races and we had been taking about branching off and creating our own alliance called SuperNova (the name could have used a little work lol) and we toyed around with it for a few weeks but nothing actually came from that, I left The Great Races because i was looking for something else I just didnt know exactly what that was. Did a few stints in some alliances (Ancient Brethren, The Foundation) and then in early 2007 I was on a cruise with a real life friend of mine Micheal (which actually played the game for a few years Lordmike11bravo) and while waiting for a movie to start we got to talking about starting our own alliance and we got the basics down then and there. I returned home and was talking with mike on msn about a name...for the life of us we couldnt think of anything really worth using....My youngest brother was on his laptop at the time in our living room and i asked him if he could think of any good names at the time...he said "Why not The Collective" (yes he was watching Star Trek at the time lol but the alliance was never going to be Star Trek based lol i just liked the name). So in early 2007 (i wanna say Feb from memory) we created The Collective and a few friends from The Great Races joined us. Over the years we have had many "Sister Alliances" and even been in a few Empires, We had been in many wars...won some...lost some....but always had fun...I wont go into a full run down of the TC time line but i just thought it would be nice to let you all know how it was formed.[/spoiler]
I will always have fond thoughts of The Collective it was always a fun time to be had in our spam sections, group msn chats and yes from time to time me singing (while drunk) over voice chat lol. The Collective was my baby...i defended it for all i could and will till the end of days.
I would like to give a few shout outs right now to some of the very important people that not only helped me with TC but made it what it was. (in no particular order)
Earendil - Matt you were a great 2IC to have by my side, You balanced me out very well. You became a brother to me almost instantly. Thanks mate.
Pig Newton - Shawn dude you were a machine on the field, you were always a great student when i was teaching you to play. You became someone i could easily chat to about anything and to this day always say just the right thing.
ZERO - Dean my canadian brother from another mother lol you made TC a laugh and were always fun to talk to while i was drunk and bored lol.
Tetrismonkey - One of the biggest pains in my side at times lol but i would never have had it any other way lol.
Bfg9000 - One of the hardest working members i have ever had, you remind me alot of an early Pig Newton willing to give anything a shot as long as it helps. Thank you very much dude.
~Phalax~ - another awesome 2IC and a master at graphics, you were more a Co-Leader then a 2IC at times when i was busy with RL and i thank you for that....Even though ur a kiwi lol :p
Preem - Dude you are an insane raider and spammer...hands down a person that will never give up on anything!
Beep - Beep my man you are so cool to chat to and so keen to learn the ropes, you helped me out at times without even knowing it.
Jan0134 and Soul Destroyer - The Collective's first couple ^_^ husband and wife combo....you two were the ones to keep us youngin's grounded and just so fun to chat to and get to know.
Cloak - Kyle...the words that come to mind when i think about you bro are...awesome...amazing and fuzzy all rolled into one with a paint ball gun lol.
~Perseus~ - Another former 2IC of TC and huge gammer lol. Thanks for helping so much with the behind the scene stuff.
Lordmike11bravo - Although you may never see this mike but brother thank you for sticking in there and helping me create this dream alliance
And to all those TC members not mentioned my thanks and love goes out to you all....thank you for making the last 4 years fun. Long live our family and THE COLLECTIVE SPIRIT!
