I think this can be a first step towards something that effects everyone. Awareness is important!

I like how they may not be directly effected by either of these bills but they have put (at least a little) time into making the page which can be found on their homepage.

All it would take for any website with user generated content to get shut down is a group of trolls linking to copyright infringement and then passing along the links to those comments to the appropriate industry reps.

Then also, a company that simply doesn't like you could get your site shutdown with no real evidence. See Mega Song.

These acts won't affect this game will it? From my basic understanding it is essentially trying to box America's internet and control the flow of incoming and outgoing DNS translations and further restrict copyrighted material use on the internet. #-o

Well I already feel dumber-er...wikipedia is blacked-out unless you disable javascript. However, I disagree with this legislation so I will not be turning off my javascript. I contacted my representatives in Virginia and voiced my concerns as a constituent that actually voted for them.

Craigslist has had something up for a few days but i'm glad they decided to do this and not be a **Filtered** like Twitter or facebook. Although with the later running it can help spread the words faster from those ...morons who have not cared to pay attention to anything until their precious sites make people notice.

Yeah I am sure Zuckerberg had something to do with this legislation. Probably invented something that will make him billions more that legally connects DNS with protections that are allowable by this act.

Btw it is nice to see another R.Paul supporter. =D>

lol this is never going to work with such lame blackouts. If you want a blackout take your site down instead of doing things like this:

Wikipedia - blackout only if javascript enabled.

4chan - text blackout only if you don't highlight the text/page.

Muppets fail!

what I said was correct :-S

@ear if wiki felt strongly about this they would blackout properly instead of blackout those that aren't up on things like JavaScript.

Most of the people that don't know much about SOPA/PIPA wont know to turn off JS.

I agree that it should be a full blackout, but atleast they're doing something.

There's a group that'll send your emails as faxes, but I can't remember the site. #-o
