Got me thinking today as I did a re-watch of some of my favourite scenes from the TV I watch over the last year.. and I thought. Why not create an SGW thread to see what other people thought? Not that I care.. but it's something else for you to do.

BEST POIGNANT MOMENT:
Robert Baratheon and Cersi. A Game of Thrones.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWKHkZD-euI
(Talking about his former wife and their relationship).

MOST SHOCKING:
Castiels Betrayal. Supernatural.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuQlcLE9CgI
(New God).

BEST ACTION:
Clones vs General Krell. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IBbaqpHjl4
(Clones mutiny to take down a dark sider).

BEST DEPARTURE:
Gus Fring. Breaking Bad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de8ZDQSIJUI
(The BIG BAD of Breaking Bad loses half his face after half the series being the villain).

MOST BAD-ASS MOMENT:
Jamie Lannister. A Game of Thrones.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WNVwWpCj34
(There are no men like me. Just me).

FUNNIEST MOMENT:
Sheldon Cooper. Big Bang Theory.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUy5NX0VmA4
(Zazzy Cat).

MOST MEMORABLE:
Shane vs Otis. The Walking Dead.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI_0JP2iExs
(Shane goes dark side).

I disagree with the Shane one. The ending of the half-season episode where the giant speech from Shane only to not shoot the girl, making Rick do it was the most memorable thus for me.

Ah yes.. the 'death' of sofia. That was good. Forcing Rick to shoot her.. brought bad-ass rick back!

I loved how Shane was all "YOU ARE ALL COWARDS, RICK IS A COWARD BLAH BLAH BLAH I'M A BAD ASS" and then.."Oh **Filtered**. Sofia. *Look of shock*"

And then..Rick walks up and bam.

Hmm... seen three of seven. Probably wont see the other four.

(GoT ones and the Clone Wars one)

hmm... on clone wars... one thing's been bugging us... how will they fit into the continuity a certain apprentice?

Not too sure yet tbh... that's going to be a tricky one. I reckon, almost certain she IS going to die and I think after that Anakin will learn to let her 'go' maybe? Or it's too painful to mention again yadda yadda... same way Vader has selective memory in the original trilogy.

it will be interesting, that's for sure... perhaps it will be used as a further trigger element towards his turn to the dark side. We'd guess he will have trouble handling the death. Only the extreme need the war has of his leadership and skill causes the order to keep using him. Still, the continuity will actually be worse with episode 3 than with episode 4-6. Vader hardly speaks of the past in detail in 4-6, yet the fact that obi-wan does not mention it in episode 3 is odder.

Oh tough choices, so many great scenes, tricky to even remember them all at once let alone pick the best.

A few random ones that spring mind in no particular order

Blakes 7 - Final scene in last episode when the whole crew get killed one by one, only Avon is left with a gun in his hand and surrounded by guards with guns, the screen goes dark and all you hear is the gun shots.

BlackAdder 4 - Final scene, final episode again, and again the all the main characters charging to their death and fading the war trenches of WW1 into modern day fields.

Sarah Connor Chronicles - When the SWAT team go into the apartment not knowing the guy there after is a terminator. All the SWAT team falling one by one dead into the swimming pool below while 'The man comes around' plays in the background.

The Inbetweeners - When Simon gets drunk and goes to declare his love for Carly and is sick on her little bothers head. One of the funniest and most cringeworthy things I ever seen.

Perhaps a moment that I remember greatly was..

Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother, my sisters and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave, they live forever.

:-D

It was 5:30 AM. Leave me be! You want a great scene from a television show?! HERE!

In Game of Thrones when Eddard Stark got his head cut off while his daughter was on the statue watching. :P

Good shows, not necessarily best scenes.

Yet to watch season 6 of supernatural so really do not want spoilers! [-X

One of my favourite TV scenes of all time.

Daniel Jackson's Speech to Morgan La Fey

And the entire scene where he exposes the 'hologram' of Morgan La Fey

This is the kind of subject on which my opinions are in a state of constant flux; dictated largely by (a) what I watched recently and (b) what I can currently bring to mind. Nonetheless, I'll give it a go one at a time.

Lost: The Ending of Walkabout (includes major spoiler)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYfKHVdmjzQ
This was the exact moment, and I remember it quite distinctly, that I got 'into' Lost. It's hard to categorize, because it's poignant, shocking and memorable all at once; but I suppose that makes sense as the show itself was difficult to categorize. I could fill the entire thread with Lost clips, and there are others I enjoy more (particularly those with Ben in) but this one is significant because of how much it leapt out at me at the time.

MOST MEMORABLE: The end of the Killing.

i love the way they ended it...alot of people hated it i thought it was very smart and makes you want to watch season 2 (April 1st).
They did not tell you who was the killer and the wrong guy looks like he got shot (The guy who plays Jordan from the 4400)...cliffhanger and a a half :)
