Loaning money to America is like throwing money in a wishing well.
As a consequence, American debt paper, the dollar, is worthless.
If I were an American bank, I would hoard gold and platinum instead.

Not just American banks, nearly everyone is buying Gold. as you well know, the reasons you state here are why Gold is going through the roof and will continue to do so....
Anyone remember my banking thread a few years ago when gold was $850 an ounce (or there abouts)?
