IMHO this is an extremely well written and detailed article about an event that some experts say-is overdue. the sun will be entering a solar maximum cycle in 2013 which will mean the sun is more active. IE (as most of you will undoubtedly know), more sun spots, CME's (coronal mass ejections) and solar flares resulting in high level EMP discharges (please don't think i am preaching to you guys. i know many of you are far more educated about this stuff-and science in general-than i am). many (if not all of you) of you know all this already, i'm simply laying the foundations for an educated and interesting debate....if anyone is interested in doing so that is

So for the paltry sum of $1 billion USD the US can protect it's grid and basic infrastructure (i assume the costs for the rest of the industrialised planet would be comparable) but isn't doing so, but is more than willing to throw MANY times that sum of money at a failed and corrupt financial system...imho, that's pure and utter insanity.
These are just my thoughts after reading that article.

This must be the 10th doomsday predicted in the last 10 years. I agree it can and probably will be harmfull but i think we're panicking a bit too much.

Seriously though, these things have a way of looking far worse then they actually are
worst comes to worst, a nice aurora borealis and some sattelite disruptions
