Hey guys. I was just wondering if any of you know how to trace an IP of a user that commented something on a video on youtube? I was not the uploader of the video, but the video is about my band preforming a rock song and let's just say someone said something very insulting both to me and my GF, the account was only created to comment on the video (it was created on that day, followed by a comment a few minutes later and hasn't been touched since).
I'd very much like to know who that was. I know even with IP the chances of knowing for sure are slim but at least they are better than none. I know how to trace IP after I have it, I just would like to know how to obtain the IP from that comment.

If someone tells me of a way that works and I'll be able to get the IP - I'll throw in a prize of 5T naq and a few K ATs.

That's the video in question, the only comment so far is the one that's unacceptable and I want to know who that author is.

You cant, IPs can not be aqcuired this way as it would be in direct violation of Youtubes terms of privacy.

But, you can findsome more details on the account.
Aparently a 27 year old guy from solvenie.

who's your girlfriend in the video?
are you in the video ?

What did the nasty comment say ?

File a complaint with Youtube/Google.
IPs are not published, you would have to hack into Youtube to see them.

Do a google search for their username and see what pops up....trolls are usually predictably stupid

and it came up with an account from a girl calling herself 'sexy hexy667'

There is some sort of german guestbook there, but thats about it.

The thing is though people can say whatever they want. What exactly do you propose to do even if you could find out the IP? Just ignore the trolls and carry on with your day.

PS - I haven't got a clue what she's singing about but I like how it sounds.

My girlfriend is not in the video.
The comment says: "[my surname] did you rape her too?"

I am in the video on electric guitar.
I have tried searching for that username but can't seem to find one that I could say with certainty it's the same person behind it as this username.
I know it says it's a 27 years old from Slovenia but that's not correct. I bet my ass it's either someone from my school or, even more likely, someone from my girlfriend's school. Those people can't even be 20 years old, let alone 27.

Thanks mate - the song is in Slovene (should get a few other videos on Saturday, covers of Proud Mary and I Love Rock N' Roll we also did on that gig so I'll upload them to YT). In this lineup as in video, we're together for about a month now so we're really pleased it went as well as it did
I just want to show the idiot that no one can say something like that about me and just get away with it, even though that user hides behind anonymity - it's the internet and no one should say stuff like that. If someone has something to say to me - s/he can come to me and say it out loud and then go to hell for all I care, but no one should say something like this and expect to just get away with it without me knowing who it was. A simple message like "maybe I'll come to [name of the neighborhood] and we can have a private talk about it there" should suffice. People like that one are cowards, if they weren't, they wouldn't be hiding behind some random username created specifically for this purpose and a simple message like that should suffice for that idiot to wet his pants.
