I have hardly played the era (haven't even used all of the MTs nor the market bonus last week, and I'm sure there have been many weeks in between as well that I haven't done that) and I came in second. That's a LOL to everyone actually playing the era and even buying so many USSs

Thank you. Apparently I also had the most trained military too. And although I'm sad I didn't win, I must say I'm impressed by the military experience you managed to put up.

Yeah I can't stop lolling at how I finished and how some people that played much more than me, and some that even bought so many USSs, finished. Guess some skill still counts after all 
I spied a few people to have a general idea of what my stats should be like - and I think I hit the spot with utilizing the best balance for rank.

Balance is the trick yes, and well done. I might have finished higher had I not mistakenly thrown about 35T at my defence instead of my attack. I'm a bit gutted about that, but you live and learn I guess.
Whatever strategy you utilised, congratulations for becoming runner-up.

Uhm about the ME thread in this forum...my last post said something in the range of 139.000.000.000 ... 
....aaaadn that was a lie... I already had 337.000.000.000 by that time.
So if you thought I gathered that up in a few final hours, naahhhh.
