I dont know if this has been posted already or not, discussed at some point most likely.
Read through a few topics, as the titles are not that clear in most cases, couldnt find any so here goes.

When failing a recon, the spies lost do not get added to the ME failures.

They are disavowed.
I.e. their records are removed, and every mention of them except in general terms is forbidden.


Were you a government, would you admit your spies were slaughtered in a failed attempt at espionage?

their personal logs >_> I.e. My eyes only

Also I assume they are counted on the enemies ME logs

ME Logs are not eyes-only.

Still,.. apart from possible figments of our imagination, .... they should show up there is it not ?

Why? Spies lost in sabs aren't recorded either.
It all follows the basic principle that We Do Not Record Black Ops.

So in effect, this is a feature instead of a bug ?

And the back ops thing sounds a bit rediculous though
I would rather prefer to know what I loose/lost with 'failures' which are still 'my failures'

Either it is a feature (which is the better choice), or it is a bug, but much larger than what your description covers.
