It has a background image and the login and text 'float' above the image. There are a number of images, and ability to add more.
If anyone wants to submit one for use, please use existing size and keep in mind the end product (jpg) must be 200k or under.
This 'refresh' moves us a step closer to a 'come on back' email (our first and only email EVER) to previous stargate players that should liven things up a bit...
Planet stolen stat
The number of 'archeological layers' are displayed when taking over a planet. This tells you how many previous owners have had that planet.
MPDSD on black market
There will be the ability to purchase MPDSD on the official black market. (starting Mar 2nd, 2012)
Triple Planets
These are now available - one per account only - also on official black market. (starting Mar 2nd, 2012)
Please note that a triple can be taken over ONCE and maintain the triple stats. If it is taken over a 2nd time it loses its 3rd stat.
There is no way to know beforehand how many times it has been stolen.

The "floating" text looks horrific, please do something with it to make it legable.


Who ever had the idea of losing the 3rd stat on triple planets is a real prick. Its bad enough that you lose it, but then knowing if you take it back it losses a stat just sucks. They will be taken back just to ruin the triple stats anyway I am sure. Wish you guys would reconsider that. Atleast on the 3rd hit. and make it per month or something. 2 hits in lifetime is garbage

I'm surprised it took this long to put merlins on the market tho, that was a money making idea from the start.

As for why anyone wants a list of past planet owners is beyond me but good job for doing it I guess.

Triple planet + forever merlins from black market, that's probably the reason for the stat loss. Make some money out of it while he can, I guess.

I wouldnt have mind seeing some sort of plan for roll out :\

Other updates were normally matters of moments (upload some new files) and thats it.

Is it safe to assume something went fubar ?

Re Lore's comment about loosing the stat. It should be on the 3rd. So that the original owner can take it back, without loosing the 3rd stat. Almost like a second chance. Miss protecting it again, and it's GONE.

Edit: Also another thought. With the whole loosing the 3rd stat thing. Whilst it's good in that it limits the abundance of tri-planets (like duals have become), it also means cheating people on the market. Take someone else's planet, and then offer it on the market saying its yours. You sell it, they take it, and hey-presto, down to a dual.

Very poorly designed, horrible on the eyes, a bit more time and effort could have made this good. As this is to attract more players (and past players) and won't directly contribute to making money little effort was put in to it.

How many players? Would be better if it was the name of the players, but tbh this update doesn't do much for the game.

Money making idea! If people lose their 3 stat planet they buy a new one.

too ascended button has gone

just click the button for the plain loggin page, it takes you to logind for GW, ascended and quantum

You miss the point. The button in Main logged you in to Ascended automatically with one click. What you have pointed out is the login option for Ascended.

With the tripple stats planets, it would be nice if they somehow do not show up on the beta server ....

Kinda disliked the idea beta was used for that on occassion.

Homepage... it is worse than it was...
Not even the background, it's not so bad, but the other... especially the html... I ain't know who made it, but I doubt he knows what html is... BODY element is missing!!!
And it's ugly...

The homepage is horrid.

The text on the homepage shouldn't be overlaying the image on the background like that. It's not good.

Even something like this would have been better (with a more stunning main image, like ascended but obviously not stolen, like ascended)
