bump fr a great cause

I am going to say this to you all now. The idea for this is amazing, however, the fact that people are making THIS BIG OF A DEAL about it is mentally and utterly retarded.

Do you realize how long this has been going on for? Do you realize how long people haven't given a **Filtered** simply because it doesn't effect them? Do you realize that all of these people do not even GIVE a **Filtered** but pretend they do simply because they are on the other side of the world and feel bad?

It's the equivalent of them hearing about it on the television, and going "Oh that's terrible" and donating 5 dollars to charity that 'helps the children in need in Africa'. The only reason it is this big at all is because of the internet. Welcome to the internet, somebody has finally taken advantage of it to help the people who actually need it.

It bothers the living hell out of me to the point of utter rage though that people who do not give a **Filtered** suddenly realize "Oh my god, children would rather die than live another day like that!"

It made me chuckle, the first time I heard of the invisible children and Kony was 6 years ago already I don't know why there is a sudden uproar about it now. (Maybe Africa gets news before any other country)

Anyway my real problem with this campaign is: Surely it should be make Kony infamous because it's a bad thing and not famous because it isn't a thing that should be celebrated?

Except I find it hilarious how people who have never given a toss about troubled children all of a sudden decide to follow the latest craze. I understand it's the the goal of the entire initiative but really they can drop the preposterous flavour of the month passion.
