Not a brilliant suggestion, I'll be honest

Basically lets say I have this:

Code: Select all

Armed Military Fleet    1    5,760 / 5,760
Armed Military Division    1    1,290 / 1,290
Channeled Energy Cannon    1    320 / 320
Energy Weapon    1    80 / 80
Mounted Weapon    1    30 / 30
Projectile Weapon    1    20 / 20
Hand Weapon    1    10 / 10

I would be able to pick which one I want to have armed to my troops with a checkbox like the one to confim nox or a market turn purchase

People Could have one weapon on for one weapon farming to save costs or change weapon type to raid...

I see your point, raiding when you have 25 mill best weapons has insane repair costs, and attack weapons have such a low sale price they are not worth selling to go raiding.

But same goes if someone with a massive stats gets into a fight with someone with far lower stats.

In that recent Team Battle we had I was in the position where I built a 40 trill strike for one def, then had to use the same strike against someone with a 5 trill def, it meant my repairs were insane compared to theirs, and in that situation you can win a fight and still have it cost you more than the person that lost.

Would be good if you could have 2 or 3 separate armies ( in def and strike ) with their 'Weapons Caches' and be able to switch between them. To ensure this isnt used to avoid being massed ( keep safe stats ), you would need one to kick in when the other is destroyed and keep the def one on default biggest fights first.

Their are other problems with it, and one major issue IMO is the individual aspect of it, letting everyone do everything takes away from the teamwork needed, having alliances with different people doing different things gives us interdependency and a necessity to work together.

I also think it's worth considering. Possible limit to how often you can change should be used though, to prevent having a massive defence, massing someone, then selecting the weaker weapons to avoid the stronger ones being massed

All weapons would be sab-able and if they did what you suggest it leaves their units open to being killed easier.

Then it would be better to only have the option on attack weapons instead of defence. The original idea never indicated it would be for both strike and defence.

Changing your def to weaker weapons makes it easier for you to be massed anyway, not sure why anyone would want to do what Sarevok suggests unless they want to drop rank and raid :/

Maybe cause they just wasted turn on weak weapons, so you then pick the next strongest. Happens automatically now.
And what box is that exactly?
