anyone whos seen episode 3 knows obi wan wasnt realy trying to kill him, but in his rage clouded state of mind it definitly looked that way to him
and padme ..... dont get me started on her..... she pops out her kids says "luke lea ..... ugh........" lost her will to live
had she nothing to live for? 2 motherless children brainwashed into thinking there father was alot of things he wasnt
christ why did no one tell them they were related HE MADE OUT WITH HIS OWN SISTER
the true villan in starwars ep 3 was padme
forsaking her children and dying when she was needed most

Interesting. I have to say that when the Death Star explodes (and then again) I feel sorry for the Emperor. Frail old man, obviously burdened by leading such a vast Empire, getting sabotaged by a bunch of furry monkeys bumming out in my construction yard.
Then again, when I watch cop series I keep hoping for that one guy to evade the police and commit the perfect crime. When I watch Wall-E, I wonder why he doesn't roll over that cockroach in the first few seconds of the movie. Did not expect there to be many others.

Juliette,

...we are not entirely unalike you and i. I often watch The Amytiville Horror and think, "
what are you complaining about? The house warned you three times in a very large voice to GET OUT and what do you do? Invite more people in". No wonder they came to no good in the end, people just don't listen.
Watermelon you've got a few major things slightly askew with your comprehension but i wouldn't worry; Star Wars is beautifully ambiguous and you are quite welcome to comprehend it as you wish. I also think that Anakin was perhaps not right but certainly almost justified in how he behaved towards his wife and mentor, something which (if you watch very carefully) is echoed on Obi Wan's face towards the end of the fight, his eyes turn black and a boil becomes prominent on his jawline and forehead signifying a hint of the darkside as he debates the nature of the force with Anakin...shame about all that kiddy slaughtering eh?

wich also proves hes a good man
he was willing to do anything for his wife,
he promised her he would learn to stop death after his mama died
but he got REALY ... vader (for lack of a better term) after his wife passed

and yes i agree slaughtering the second bunch of children was wrong, but the first bunch would have become monsters anyway

That is a matter of perspective, do the Sand People see their children as monsters or their way of life mostrous?
Everything in Star Wars is perspective. Good and Evil is perspective, neither truly exist yet they apparently account for so much in existence? The answer is transience, in my opinion

One could argue all children are monsters, and any way of life that permits or even promotes the production of children is monstrous. While absurdly species-destructive, only the strongest survive. Interesting experiment, see how nature handles that curveball.

The answer is also transient. While your answer is, in fact, rather permanent.

At that point he wasnt a good man, he was a fool because he followed the path that led to destruction despite knowing better. He became a good man later on at the end when he repented.

Aha! There is nothing quite as permeable as a ghost, try shaking my hand and you will soon see my point

An opinion must, to a degree, maintain at least a semblence of permanence otherwise no one would respect it enough to debate it and, perhaps, create an existential area in which a transience may occur. In existential thought there are three areas, always.
All children
are monsters/animals etc etc, because they have no moral compass and they act entirely instinctively. Sometimes i watch mine and i wonder what the hell i've done in deciding to continue this circus game but at the end of the day they are beautifully unique in every way but divinely the same; a true dichotomy, to be sure.
