What got you into anime?

I would have to say it was watching Neon Genesis Evangelion when I was 11. At the time it was a cool robot show, but each time I watch it more and more of the story comes to life. So in the end it the story lines that anime have that got me into anime and have kept me entertained these last 10 years.
ps any1 looking forward to when Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.33 & 4.44 come out?

Sailor Moon when I was like 6/7. then a long period of watching NOTHING. then in my teenage years I was introduced to Ghost In The Shell.

I believe yu yu hakusho really got me into anime, though I was into bleach beforehand

Growing up watching toonsmi. I loved watching DBZ and Ronan Warriors.

As a kid watching sky channel on the fun factory, shows like: Jayce and the wheeled warriors, Mask, GI Joe, Bravestar. Some years later I walked into a corner called manga in a video rental shop, rented movies/series like: Ninja scrolls, Akira, Urotsukidoji, Guyver.
... hooked since
