Might want to add the link to the chat in the notice.

Interesting idea, good as well, I could probably do one for ascended as well if requested.

Not to be pessimistic, but won't this just cause problems. If 10 people want to put their 2c worth in, its a lot easier to convey ideas then if there's 30 people wanting to put their 2c worth in.

Would it not be easier for ideas to be voted/discussed ingame/forum, rather then encouraging greater attendance at the meets, and everyone saying their ideas all at once.
I guess I'd just rather see things discussed here/voted on ingame, and then a few people bring the ideas to Admin at the meets.

I'd like to see both active.
But that doesn't mean IRC should be neglected.

Everyone complains only a select few talk to admin at the meets, well this would hopefully increase those numbers.
I don't (or more didn't when I attended more regularly), meant the opportunity to actually discuss with J, and not have he's attention divided every which way.

most meets are covered in spam. Would be nice if he grew a pair, set people staright, and stayed in the convo instead of his normal 1 answer every 5 to 10 minutes and then run away after 25 to 30 minutes.

The Mod meets were the best. I think one time he was on for over an hour, which good discussion (probably because it was mods who didn't spam with pointless and never ending questions)

Not sure what you mean. I believe the IRC meet for mods and admin still goes on. But not being a moderator (due to inactivity for a while) I wouldn't expect to be permitted to go :p

I meant, are there not mods that are on IRC that could handle most of the spam posts during the admin meet? Last time i checked there was a whole chain of command on there, and i'm pretty sure 99% of the time no one goes on until an admin meet....

Its live. I'm not sure if I understand what your trying to say. But everything sent shows in the chat, so people asking random questions increases the distance between similar thoughts.

Yes, there is.
You would need to talk to Haz or Paul about it, though. ;) They are opers and admins, I believe.

I can't be bothered, just throwing the idea out there. There are people hired for crowd control so get admin to use them if there is too much spam during the meets ;)

It is a mentality issue; people do not attend the meets because if they would attend, there would be too much spam. Since not many people attend the meetings, there is little to no spam. ;)
:P Catch 22?
