c. Imitating another user.
The imitation of other users by creating a user account that is intended to deceive the community into believing you are another member of the community is not permitted.

Consequence:
The offending account will be banned and the offending users other account/s will be given one warning point.

The above pretty much specifies that imitating a user is against the rules. Banned or not, a user is still a user.

Yes I'm trying to trip you up, I'm playing Devil's Advocate here. That's pretty obvious. I'm trying to achieve clarity of this rule, that's all. I know that you are not the highest chain of command. Hence why I asked IF that is the official stance. Yes or no would have sufficed as opposed to your aggressive and demeaning outbreak.

Nevertheless, like Haz has said, I will presume this is the order until an Admin overturns that.

Edit: Me causing trouble would have been to break the rule and protest to the ombudsman on the basis of the rule clarity

The search systems inside the phpBB 3 ACP here are fairly lacking, however the regular user search has been somewhat expanded for admins. search by IP is an option. among other things.

This is correct.

A Banned User is still a User, imitating them would be against the rules.
As clarkey said, not all bans last forever. In the case of perma-bans, pardons can be and in the past have been given. Thus imitation even of someone in 'exile' is not allowed.
