This happens outside of spam. I've had a Mod change my post to a really sarcastic one making me look like an idiot for their own amusement. It's shocking.

Except in misc, the only times a post is edited is when a rule is broken in it. When this happens, sometimes the mods try to turn the text into something funny/cute, but they do it in their mod colour to make it obvious the edit was made by them.
