First question, what is the point of this? Whenever I have used a report, I rarely get feedback.

If I make an incorrect report, I would like to know so that in future I don't make the same error.

Prehaps there should be a thread where mods can give feedback for each report, whether justified and if not why not? Obviously leaving names out of it?

This will lead to a vastly superior system showing other users what you expect of the report button.

Also, have you considered multiple bashing of the report button as spam? I am sure that many people have in the past reported unjustifiably merely to be a pain?

"Notify Me" sends you an e-mail when your report is closed. Nothing more.

I believe a post can only be reported once, FM.
Thus spamming the button is impossible.

Also, having the community know more details about whatever is decided by a mod team, mod or admin, only leaves space for more questions and room for more none-involved members to comment and argue.

The system is vastly superior as it is.

Simple, clean and tight.

It's emailed? Ahh, prehaps that's why I know little about it...I put my forum emails into spam a long time ago! I'll look into taking those out!

Questions can be considered a good thing, if they are the right questions.

Absolutely true ... given the right circumstances.... now take a good look at this here board; the posts often involved with reports and the people being reported.

Then, ask yourself again:

"Would it be a good thing, -to be able to argue more about negative events occurring on these here forums ?"

I mean, if a user, goes about reporting everybody he doesn't like - in the hope that they get a warning and potential ban?

Basically, can you get told off if you report unreliably too often?

In the past, abuse of any forum function has and can result in said function (or privilege) being temporarily or even permanently revoked.
