Just got round to watching it, loved the original Tron back in the 80s and this sequel did not disappoint, absolutely brilliant :-D

Sorry to pop your balloon MEZ, but i saw the original in the cinema when i was 14 (yes i am that old lol). even today it still stands out as a visually stunning piece of cinematography. legacy obviously looks more slick than the original, but even with all the modern filming methods and tech, the original still looks much better. Legacy is a stinking pile of (Klingon>) baktag!

I never said it was better than the original mate, not even close, but compared to the many disappointing sequels and remakes I think this one did very well, it stayed true. The original will always hold a special place in my heart as a childhood memory

On the age thing, I think I saw the original a bit younger than that, must have been 7 or 8 yo but not when it was first releases, think I saw it in the kids club as part of a double bill my local independent cinema ( remember them lol ) used to run on Saturday mornings, my mum used to work in the cinema so me and my mate used to go every week with a free pass :-D Also long before we had a VCR, and even before I saw the original in the cinema I remember having the book & story tape lol

I have to disagree, even as a sequel it was poor, and i don't see where it stayed true to the original at all. in the original, the story was as much about Flynn as it was about Tron even though Tron was the title character. Legacy was mainly about Clue and even though Clue was derezzed by the MCP in the first film....ok, Flynn could have had a backup of the Clue program or simply rewritten Clue, but still, the point stands because this discrepancy was never explained....if it was i missed it because i was so bored out of my head waiting for Tron and Flynn to make their appearance in the film.

Oh, i remember those...i miss those days, everything was much simpler and more open market. today it's all about chain stores and monopoly's.

Haven't seen it but will take a look.

Talking about cartoons...i always liked the concept of the transformers original cartoon but thought it had poor story lines and was extremely inconsistent in many areas, but i am enjoying Transformers Prime.

the 80's Transformers cartoon was little more than a 30 minute commercial for the toys. I agree with ya, but its classic.

Loved Tron Legacy as it was well done considering the time scale inbetween films. Daft Punk soundtrack helped to establish the world imho.

yes, it is a fairly good movie. Might not be up to par for some, but we enjoyed it when we rewatched it a few weeks(ish) ago... just as we enjoyed watching it the previous time(s)...
