next round of updates

I am working actively on next round of updates.
This will include:

* glory shop (likely limited selections to start... do not want to unbalance or give those with tons of gnr too big advantage) --see
viewtopic.php?f=43&t=191885&start=75 this topic.

* Motherships more powerful shields and weapons. Likely 250% of current. Not hangers/fleets. Those stay as is...

* Planet conversion. I am working on ability to take one planet attribute (say, covert) and convert it into another attribute (say attack) ... Not sure if UP will be on the list of 'to' ... and one cannot make a same-attribute double/triple (ie an income/income). It will be expensive, and limited over time. Likely using the market ....

* a lottery. buy a ticket. win big if your number comes up. draw once a week; winner gets free PPT at time of give.

* more goods tradable in the market. Maybe goods<>goods uses less market turns (like 0.5 of something) ...

dev testing: http://dev.gatewars.com to see them in action. Login/pass same as about a month ago...

this will all go on dev before live....
I feel i am forgetting one, but will edit this post when i remember it :)

Not to put a dampner on these efforts

dont you think you should re-look at the present planet updates, there are players that are not happy about how this was started then when they sized an oppotunity which meant a whole different way of playing it was then taken away.

I myself am awaiting a response regarding this via admin sue though to jason

those changes perhaps would of been better in beta before implenting them live and causing these issues

I'm liking the sound of these updates Forum.

@thorsworld1. New strategy not working out sucks. Jumping into things before they are ready. Admin tunes updates fine in live environment often so you could've expected some changes after the fact.
I'm curious for the reply from Sue.

This topic isn't about you putting all your eggs in one basket and getting burned for it, please go complain in the proper place.

All the updates look good to me.

Erm, what does this mean? "limited selections"? How about a reset of GnR over 1000?

Planets are good like they are now - it's only logical they're limited by base income like all other stats.

Looking forward to see the updates. Should bring some life to the server if they're done right.

If you can change a planet attributes will it

1) reset its defenses to 0
2) change the planet size
3) set its start up parameters to 0 ergo if you create a UP planet it will start at 0 UP
4) can you create a double from a single planet

On that note I'd like to add a 5th and 6th questions:
5) If you change one parameter of a dual planet, does it affect the other? - I hope not
6) Will it also be possible to have a dual planet with the same stat - for example attack/attack or UP/UP - by changing one of the stats? - would be a nice twist, especially if that means that if you have a 200b strike and 100b/100b strike/strike planet - because both of the stats are 1/2 of the raw stat - you'd get a 400b strike for instance

Alliance banks weren't reset. Why should this be (don't want to loose my G&R  )

they will be nice to see.. :) with a slight investment all those that have income planets can switch to ATT and farm,.... and perhaps stop crying..

Insted of adding a .5 market trade couldnt you just up the multiplier? " 1/2 , 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, "10""? in regards to resource to resource MT

all this about GnR resetting is a joke if you have read half the stuff Admin has posted u would read that its prob not going to happen.. your wine only goes well with smelly cheese..

thanks for some extra play toys Admin .. let hope it goes smooth.

As I told you before 300% is the minimum increase that will make any difference in the game.

Starting small is good. Obvious reasons are obvious. And considering most people don't have the covert level to build big, 250% is damn good enough. I sure as **Filtered** don't want to build anything over 10 trill with covert 36 to defend against attackers, holding the fortress is hard enough against sabbing let alone attempting to block an inbound attack with a MS power that matches the attacking power, and would probably be half of your own defence now.
