Affy's Father passed away...

Clarification EDIT: Affy NOT Dead... Affy's father and Cool Breeze's grandfather is who passed away. Already got a paniced e-mail from a friend... lol
all, i dont start too many topics but thought I would relay to all our Q friends all over the world that Affy's father passed away late this weekend. many know (and many dont know) that Affy is MY dad, and my grandfather was quite the character himself. He is most likely who I would say is most responsible for Affy's unique sense of humor and view of the world that you get to experience through his strange rants and ramblings.
did not want to bum everyone out, but, i think my Dad/old man Affy as he is known, as well as his super-demented evil alter ego 'bad affy' (a nickname given by an old Quantum legend who once tried to explain when my Dad would be such a benevolent player 99% of the time, and then suddenly go all crazy when deeply provoked and mass eveyone in sight who so wronged him) - have had a tough few days, and Affy may not be around for a while to play games, even the ones he loves so much because of his world of eFriends as he calls you all (ya'll here in the south US).
our family has endured some intense personal issues in our small hometown over the last year, some he jokes about on this forum for your entertainment, and we have been reeling from the crazy rift between our family and my Mom's former longtime boss's family (a reall piece of human feces as people goes) which forced my Mom to leave his employ after 15 years, us to later close a 12 year local business, and then my Mom to leave her next job when her former boss managed to make that situation unbearable for her, all while causing my dad/affy to incur huge financial stress/debts to help Mainly me, but also many local charities that benefitted from our longtime business. all this, along withg the sudden break from our lifelong local church (my Moms boss and his family sits right next to where we always sat - awkward to say the least), the assuredly stigma that accompanies small town socially deplorable behavior (ours included!), the death within the last year of our two longtime family pets/dogs (a source of many late-night pee breaks that seemed to set Affy to the Forum craziness!), and now several deaths of Affy's mentors local men in the community, and now his dad - my grandfather, i think Affy has taken some mental blows that may take him some time to get over.
i personally have always admired my Dad/Aff for his mental toughness, serving the USA in the US Air Force and later in Desert Storm in the 90's when I was young, but, i dont think i have ever seen the defeat on my father's face like i have seen the last few days. he is tough, and will rebound, but i think he will need some time. i thought he would want you all to know, he has always found mental pleasure playing SGW with me, and writing his craziness in the Forums to you.
lets all hope that Affy returns with the same spirit, and the same view of the world, it is a good world and we all are responsible for making it a world that Affy would be proud to make self-deprecating fun of himself in. Lets finish by looking at the player name he finally settled on in the games - Affirmation.
The declaration or assertion that something is true or that it exists...
is there anything truer in life than the Spirit of my Old Man - Affy?
i tried to stay up late so i could post this in the middle of the night, in honor of two old dead pets and Affy's usual posting time, and i am also dedicating this 'Affy' length posting to the honor of my father, Affirmation.
because he is true, and he exists. I am, therefore I exist.
Peace and health to you all, from my family to yours...
