Idea 2.
Make it faster to ascend!
The plan.
For the first 10 Ascensions, make it easier to gain g/r.
While at any of these 10 levels, instead of gaining 1 g/r per turn at the top 2%, you gain 5 g/r. At the top .2%, instead of 5 g/r, you gain 10, and so on. This way, the first 10 go by fast, allowing new players to get a chance to fight, along with a head start to getting to the Unknown.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but do you realize what your saying.
You want to give people a further 25% stat boosts.
You want to take the time need to ascend from 46 weeks, out to 100 weeks.
"Each level removes a progressive 2% of Plague each time ascended (Up to a total of 10% at level 40)" Erm, 2%x10 ascensions is 20%, same as with to lvl50.
This means that there's what, 40% less plague effect, allowing people above it to grow less hindered again?
So a new person now has to:
Play for at least 100 weeks, regardless of effort put in, to finish ascending.
Compete with players who have a bonus of 75% to their stats, verses their 25% in 1 area, or if they are newly ascended (to remove the weak weapon argument) 70% behind in every area.
Players who are so far past the plague cap (due to its weakening) effectively being able to use their entire army size against them.
Would it not be a better idea, to just allow things to be destroyed. Then people would have to work to maintain themselves, unlike now, where they need places to spend their endless amounts of resources, hence the calls for caps on things.

Absolutely no need to speed up the first 10 ascensions. The 2 week limit for the first 10 ascensions was removed a few months ago, as everyone who actively plays knows. ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
As for the talk about caps; bollocks to that. Only the few people who want to change the game to 'win' are asking for that. Anyone with half a mind realises that the game's economy (with the Plague cap) auto-caps itself. No point in further caps. No point in opening up ascension levels either; if you are bored of being 'Unknown' register a new account and start again.

I like the general idea of adding more ascensions, and SOME of the bonuses, but not % stat increases or the additional % GnR gained. GW is getting boring, need something to do, other than grow-war-grow-war-grow-war then war-war-war-grow-war-war-war

There should be more to a game then just build and destroy.
But more ascensions are not what it should be. Besides if everyone was ascending those of us with +4t MSes would walk over everyone else since no one would build large stats while ascending.

Anyway, more ascensions are easy to add because admin likes simplicity when he codes, there are many many things admin can add to further ascensions to spice them up a bit. And rewards don't have to be direct resources as well.
As for large stats whilst ascending, just gut the APP so when they ascend they get hardly anything, or just make a hard cap, i.e max APP when ascending is only 50 mill or something.
It's all well and good to suggest things like tourneys for main etc. but you have the other side of the coin to consider, that being admins reach.
People like to do new things to get new things that no one else has, it's pretty much the reason (and AB) why some continued with ascending past AG. Pioneering ftw.
