New account resources

So, as I hope many of you have seen, I've put up a new poll for us to vote on.

The poll is how to determine what new accounts should get. Currently, it is a set amount of units and naq. Obviously this will put people along way behind (even this early in the game, new accounts are thousands of units behind) and I'd like to sort out an automatic way, to make the gap less massive.

The current voting options are:
*Leave as is (set starting resources)
*Increase over time (at a set rate)
*Increase based on game size (sum of x top accounts divided by total accounts)
*Increase based on game size (sum of x top accounts divided by total ACTIVE accounts)
*Other (please post in the forum)

My personal preference would be something that reflects the accounts in the game (option 3 and 4), but it is up to you guys to guide me :)

From a game-economic point of view, 4 is impossible without **Filtered** up the balance in the game. I will elaborate later, if you wish.

Happy to hear it :D

The way I saw it was like this:
Grab the accounts that have been active in the past week (main: 2000 origins:8)
Divide said number by say 100 (rounding up main:20 origins:1)
Grab the sum of the total army size for the top sizes based on previous number (main: 9,000,000,000 origins: 6000)
Divide that number by the first (main: 4,500,000 origins: 750)
And that is their start army size.

4.5M UU is not considered that much, but is a good start value I believe to train units etc in main.
And 750 is close to what I give people on origins on top of what they start with, so they are not left so far behind.

I prefer option 4, It keeps the new accounts at a decent start point, no matter how far along game accounts have developed.
You only need to look at main and what accounts got before the last update to them to realise this is true. having it like it is in option 4 means that new accounts set up will not become outdated within months of the game going live.

Based on the voting (67%) I will implement the new account stats to be based off the current game stats. I'll use the mechanism I outlined in my second post, and hopefully we can get a few people to sign up to test it before a live release.
