When you get descended in the ascension server, do you just go down a level or do you start over completely and get booted from the server?

It would be pretty crappy to spend 2-3 years playing, get to max ascension, and then get descended back to level 0 in a day because someone who has been playing for a long time and is way ahead decided they wanted to be a No that day.

You don't lose any ascension levels, just your ascended % bonus for 2 weeks and access to the ascension server.

I wish we did remove a level per descension attack.. this has been voiced ever since the idea of descension was launched.

Well that makes sense. How come that never happened? SOL, make it happen? Jo will do stuff as reward?

Be careful what you guys wish for. If you allow this you will see a few fully ascended accounts and a bunch of fully deacended accounts. You really want to be able to lose all you worked for in ascended? Not to mention having to suffer the time and cost of ascending all over again?

I agree with Lore.

There's way too much time put in playing main to get the ascensions to have them taken away completely via Ascension server gameplay. Besides which, once an ascended account is well developed, it's very hard to descend one if the person logs in 1-2/day. On the other hand, a handful of aggressive players could easily keep people from ever getting developed. If you try to combat this by allowing the ascended account to keep developing, so they can eventually defend themselves, by only descending the main account, people could purposefully descend a level to get the AP boost for reascending. Not good.

I just thought of one idea that might make fights on ascended a bit more serious though... the ability to mass an accounts power levels. Obviously, it couldn't be permanent obliteration because that would be too severe, but they could be massed down and regenerate on a timer. Not an idea I have thought through yet, just occurred to me now. We could make a thread for it in the appropriate forum if anyone likes it though. In fact, I'll make a general post soliciting any such ideas if there hasn't been one recently...

I have done one pissy little ascension, ignored ascended for weeks, and then gently farmed for a couple of months.

I have a disturbingly high rank on the ascended server 500 or so.

I wasn't planning on taking that game seriously until I hit LG, with 37/37/900K up accessions.
Even with the graduated AP =>LF function, I am starting to wonder if I am going to join the "too large to damage" crowd before I start seriously playing.

GW no one can hurt me, it's all about the up and cov levels. no def, doesn't take off to farm.
Ascended? they can take my planets, I hope they do, The pirate fleet will have me as a political weapon in the kiddies pool.
I expect to be able to logon/farm enough to avoid being descended no matter what.
All I care about is cache, AP and farming takes care of that.

Not that I haven't taken care to take a long term, safe strategy. Just saying someone should be able to hurt me in a meaningful way.
