Actually, a significant number of non-smokers will die of smoking related causes.
This is due to spending a lot of time in the presence of smokers.
This is the primary reason why many legislatures are passing laws prohibiting smoking in places like bars.
The bar staff gets sick, and perhaps they even die... or they sue their employer first.
and they often vote out politicians who don't listen to their health and safety concerns.

There's also those exposed to smoke in the form of house fires... a large segment of those dying in such fires are killed by the smoke, not the fire.

I think the more important issue, is that 100% of people who drink water will die!
once we take care of that, we can focus on smokers
