Initial goods after ascension

Do you get more initial resources per ascension or is it the same amount after each one?

You get more Motherships per ascension, but you get the same amount of resources for each ascension. (The starting UP of 1000 is more than the starting UP of 100 you get for each following ascension.)

Do ascensions impact units direct or only by giving you more tech fields? If they do impact direct what percentage is it?

Yes they directly impact units (and everything else, except UP).
Before ascending you are level 1 and you have no bonus (stats x 1 = the same)
at lvl 2: stats x 2 = 2x power
at lvl 10: stats x 10 = 10x power
at lvl 17: stats x 17 = 17x power
...You get where I am going with this
Only only difference is the final ascension which is lvl 20, but you actually get x25 power.
