In this case, that's irrelevant.
I'm sorry, Sniperblackout, but it isn't. SS was a good mod, and perhaps Jason's actions were foolish, but having people like FF come to his cause serves merely to undermine it.
I would favour a well thought out petition to Jason re sacked mods to try and make some sense of it all.
Obviously, based on the amount of people that have posted here, it's not just FF that's posting about it.
Also, I don't appreciate the implicaton sir. I'm in a very committed relationship and I believe you're a bit out of line.
I don't believe I trash talked you a bit and would appreciate the same courtesy.
Given my earlier lapse, I do not wish to stray off top for too long. Removed.
Alas, to business. Firstly I ask to whom are you appealing? The present mod structure, as we know it, has recently been dismantled. There are no longer any admin to run to. I know we all like the idea of the ombudsman, and they are usefull to a degree, but they have no power here.
Your beef, if one can call it that, is with Jason. He said his piece here, I know, but for the most part he pays these forums scant regard. He'll pay lip service for a while, but in the long term you're stuck with the happen-to-be-green people. Removed.

I follow you anywhere

As far as this game goes, I have been absent for some time, only lurking in the shadows licking the wounds of my own speared pride.
Earendil was an arse. He may well have ultimately tried to some good for the community but that was only in the wake of SS's ascension. For what he did, in conjunction with Zeratul and Bazsy to myself is, in my opinion more than enough to warrant what has happened to him. For the full story, look up ancient history. None the less, I feel justice has been done here even if as a person I do not dislike Matt, I hated Earendil the forum admin.
And it is in that vein that I do continue. There is a command structure, there is no rebellion, no fighting for the people. This is a game and a business, it is owned by Jason and although I am a big fan of customer care, ultimately the decision is his. Earendil and Super Saiyan broke the rules, they ignored the practise of this business, not the game and went around the helmet of our dark, forever absent overlord and in doing so they were punished. There is no way about it. As quickly as Earendil has punished others in the past, just as harshly and just as cruelly so too was he dismissed.
Super Saiyan on the other hand, for all the good action, for all the lobbying he did for this community, the moment he ruined himself he undid all his good. He took himself away from being the champion of the players and the users by debasing his own cause and stepping out of line. I had a lot of love for SS when I played the game, a lot of respect too but I would have cut him down and kicked him in the first ten minutes he crossed me like he crossed Jason, and i'd have forgotten about him forever in the next five.
This is a business kids, it's a livelihood for some people and although we play games you have to look at the reality of it all. Two volunteers stepped out of line, they were dismissed. EOS. You can't work for the FBI and toss secrets around to the general public because one of your team mates are a douche, you just can't do it, it's unprofessional and it damaged Jason's credibility (that in itself is poor, I know but a complete seperate topic), I dare any of you to try that with your boss at work and get away with it. You don't like the job, step down. They both did, leave it at that. Instead there was a smear campaign, by two former employee's and volunteers. They were banned. They persisted in their actions and were deleted.

Comparing this game to how the FBI would work is a bit of a stretch... I understand the point you're trying to make though.
However, if someone at your work place is doing something against policies and when you bring it up to your boss, they fire you... That boss will be looking at a lawsuit he can't possibly win. So, not exactly how it works in the workplace either.

They didn't leak information to the public, until Eary did after he was deleted. There was no smear campaign. They didn't persist in their actions after being banned, as they were banned and obviously couldn't. Your entire argument is based on the premise they did something wrong, when they didn't.

After the boss rejects your 'complaint' and you go public with it, the boss has a great case.

He didn't go public with it.
Fact. All information remained in staff eyes only sections until after the fact of ss +ear being banned. Ss did absolutely nothing between his ban and deletion, aside from sleep. Ear may have leaked info post ban.. But then why is Ss all of a sudden guilty?
