You did antagonize him Guild. Respect is a two way street. Non the less, Andy was speaking as a mod on a mod related topic. Yes, his response was/is uncalled for and he should get a nice smack on the ass.

Next time Guild, don't be so demeaning and rude with your responses.

Just because someone is disrespectful that doesn't give anyone else the right to be disrespectful back, or make it okay. So, that doesn't really matter.

If in the course of such a conversation the moderator behaves incorrectly, it is correct to call them to order; by giving feedback and/or contacting their GM. The Ombudsman is here to appeal warnings and plea for pardons to. Not to moderate internal affairs (pun intended). ;)

Jules, who is someone acting as once the issue has been fixed though
As long as you are discussing the case and/or sentiments drawn from that, you are acting as a mod, imo. :)
I would go as far as to say that you are always acting as a mod, simply because we are recognisable as such. Cannot escape the blue.

:) Guild, next time, please re-read your message before posting and consider whether someone could find an excuse in it to give you a warning for it. *grin* That should prevent issues like this, even if it is in PM; be nice on the forum (unless in GC), and be badass in game. :P

I disagree. As a moderator you are tasked with upholding the rules, guidelines and such. When dealing in any exchange that has you working as a moderator, you are required to be respectful. Its annoying, painful and sometimes just down right lame to have to be respectful sometimes, but its part of the job. Yes, we all have our bad days, we slipped up, and may need a little reminding to dail it down a few notches. We are human after all.

Just my 2 cents. Don't have to listen to me at all, hell, I got deleted. I should be the last person anyone should listen to. :smt043

Acting as a mod. No way around that.

Section 9: Moderator Respect
Users are required to be respectful while addressing moderators who are acting in an official capacity. Moderators are likewise expected to be respectful to users while operating in an official capacity. Moderators will get no special treatment while posting as a user. If one party ceases to be respectful, that does NOT give the other party the liberty to respond with disrespect.

This extends to private messages and reports. If you message a staff member with demands or insults, or if you file a report with demands or insults, it will not be acceptable and may be ignored.

Consequence:
Users who are disrespectful to moderators or staff members will receive a verbal warning. Repeat offenders will receive one warning point. Issues about Moderators being disrespectful will be handled internally.

Perhaps I should make a thread called "Empys attitude"... this is the second time you have called me out for posting something like that, despite my posting it to clarify any confusion users would have. No need for the attitude, when someone is just trying to help -_-

You should take a class in sarcasm and rhetorical questions. Each time you've replied to me like that it's been wholly unnecessary, and quite frankly annoying.

Just like your "unnecessary" jab at me for pointing out the "obvious". Whether it is annoying is not relevant, as my intention is to help.

It's not unnecessary, it had a purpose, to get you to stop pointing out the obvious. Your intention is irrelevant.
