when farming whats the minimum that should be hit for?

Farming + ascending = bad.

Save any farming for just before you ascend. Hit for as much as your mses will let you carry.

Yup, and burn up your UU by buildng more MSes. Worth it, last I checked.

ah okay cheers, so, should I even bother building stats or just use miners and pastors?

At some point you will start getting attacked (income above a certain threshold / activity under), you might then want to build at least some defence. Also, when you are attacked and have no (or a small) defence, your priests get killed. Up to 10% of them at once.

Who would kill a holy person? Perhaps if I threaten everyone with sending a jehovas witness?

Haha, maybe. Na, the thing with Ascension is that it is a quest for power. Since your Ascension Helpers provide you with the means to acquire power, they become a target for an invading hostile military.. yup. Death all around.
