How Demi-Gods are Received from Descension Attackes

I would like to change how demi-gods are received from descension attacks, I did talk about this on the General Discussion page but I think its best if I bring it here :D The current way of TOC Vs TOC doesn't represent how ascended battles take place and I think sol would agree.

Tricky to explain, it's similar to the others except you don't have to win to gain one but your toc has to be at least 90% or something of the other persons, so (attacker) 2.7 bill vs (defender) 3 bill would work i think. Could be 5%...not sure :P, if the differential is too large as well you will get either crap or no demi's at all (by that i mean the larger the gap between the attacker and defenders toc the less likely you will find one, and the crapper it becomes). So small attacking large and vice versa will be a fruitless effort. From what I have heard quite a few people have tried to do that to gain demi's :P, I laughed, AJ laughed, it was funny, we didn't inform them either :P just watched as they wasted turns.

That is my point the defening party's TOC does not come into the contest really. It is more about the defence lvls they have built. (TOC Vs def lvls) Seeing two glass cannons go at each other is no epic battle in my book.

Yeah I see. The whole descension battle is a bit..odd...because you attack with what you defend with, and the select defence levels slice down that power resulting in devastation of your life force, which is regenerated. Which is practically pivoted on 1 level, mnec :P. So although you do have somewhat of a defence (which isn't really a defence, because it just decreases the attack rather than attempt to go for an all or nothing halting attempt), I just decided to base the demi thing on TOC, as it incorporates the fundamental life force-mnec bond. Although I could have done the TDC, except I think I made that after I introduced demi-gods :P, i.e I couldn't be bothered changing it.

I would like to see the scale of a ascended battle be seen as the power of the attack's TOC Vs the ability of the defender to retard the damage. I am not sure how this could be done practically, but im hope other people may have some ideas :smt100
