Even though spartacus himself knew he cant won against Roman republic but that one man army tried everything to change the destiny...

It was the idea of freedom. Once you put the idea into somebodies head through example, it will never be destroyed.

Roman's were amazing in my eyes, but as I learned about them I realized they are nothing but vultures adapting tactics and strategies off greater empires instead of formulating their own.

They were the best at that, though. ;) For a while. Shame about their cavalry never learning the Parthian Shot. Had Rome taken the Crimea and some of the now-Djnepr hinterland, they would have had a rather sizeable supply of horsemen, able to fight like the Mongols and Huns did, later. Nothing would have stopped them, then.

That is the problem with a growing belief in your own superiority.. at some point you stop adapting tactics and strategies from others. ;) And then you die.

Just got around to catching upon the last two episodes and i have to say i love this show...is it just me or does that blonde women (I think her name is Laeta) who is married to the main bad/good guy (again i think his name is Marcus Licinius Crassus) look like Ilithyia from the first 2 seasons...
Also i loved the Roman soldiers they remined me of the stormtroopers of Star wars...Rubbish at doing their jobs and basic cannon fodder in every action scene...i feel like =D> after each gang of 5-15 get wiped out by 2-3 of Spartacus guys even if they are on horses and have more wepons and body armor and the list goes on :smt081

Yeah, but this opens the door for other tales from that industry.

Hannibal
Alexander

etc etc

HUSH, I'm in the ad break before the final 15 minutes. I don't like what they did to Spartacus with the 3 spears. I feel he deserved to kill Crassus.

But its based on a true history... But then again Sparta had him, and Marcus know it, you saw it in his eyes ;)

I didn't know that!

I agree with you, though I do not like the ending I have downloaded all the shows to help me procrastinate from revision this weekend
