Dark Twilight vs. EPA. Good read wih some good old EPA names. Though I massed them. Was my first ever alliance war after first joining sgw in 05 and going it solo till i joined DT. I kicked butt . Here's a few of my favorite quotes about me :

As far as i am concerned he is 100% loyal to his alliance and he has my full respect he didn't hide on ppt on day one or he didn't go onto vaction mode..

Anyone got any memorable first war moments from way back in the day? Did you dominate in your first war or sit statless or vaca?

I was in a lot of wars. But this was the first where i had a lot of fun and did most of the work myself. Kudos doc, some pretty good reviews of you there.

Felt like some TDKR

I joined during the DDE war in 2008, and the past 3 months have been the only real "peace time" that I've known. Favourite war was easily the TL/FS vs DDE/mH war. Ricos was fun too, but only because Nostra actually fought.

I still laugh going through all the posts from the first FS vs DDE thread lol. It's fun to see how encompassed people used to be by the daily ingame activities. I feel like that's what's really missing in the game now. It never feels like it has a point to it anymore.

Oh and favourite war moments, there are a lot. Every day of the big 2011 war was a moment, the TL chat was by far the funniest man group around at the time. Tons of quotable lines, from having a laugh at me being coyle's multi and FM being Tom, to the infamous "GET IN BACK". FM massing rodwolf's big def was memorable. ETL might have gone glory hunting but we all know that was a collective feat from our war.

And for anyone that was around, it might sound silly, but watching Tom completely rip apart everyone with unimaginable odds stacked against him was fun. We would all literally sit there and try to figure out how he would win all the battles he won, as if it was a puzzle. Kicker of it all, it was his first war.

My first war was TA vs OoC (the second time)...I was small fry, was only part of a few strikes. Then again most of the war was this odd foreplay on the forums between some belligerent young TA members and some cranky OoC guys. Then Omega joined in and spoiled the fun and it all went to pot. This was still the time when not everyone knew 3rdLibra was actually Ste/GhostyGoo on the forums.

Oh and we didn't have a war thread...we had a sort of TA recruiting thread that became the war thread. Strange times.

I did join some war as a newbie with Ancient Brethren as my commander, Flavar, was in AB - I wasn't allowed in cause I was a Goa'uld. (I miss the good old role-playing days, now half the game doesn't know what SG is) but I did join them for a few strikes to learn.

But the one I can remember very clearly was back in 2006 when myself, Raven_, Mujo, Castiel and others in Ascd. Generations attacked Ascended Empire (Tekki and co). It was a glorious war and in that war we in AG really bonded more.
I remember getting so many spies in the initial strike. It was delicious.

The first one I actively participated in was viewtopic.php?f=99&t=52412. All I did then was sweeping supers, and to this day that is my preferred role in massing (aside from recon and sedition).

Fun going back in the archives. Love how at the time, it was OE this, OE that, "Oh, someone **Filtered** with REK, you die now".. good times.


Funny, never realised my first war was against a current alliance member of mine and against three of my current best friends around here. *grin*

I was in the same alliance as Raven at that time. We kinda stuck together in Alpha and AG and then into TL.

Don't remember taking part in that massing though. But my memory is crappy, at best.

*grin* This was not just a massing, it was an actual war.

This new wave of Alpha is far more powerful than ever before with all its new members. Eros, Raven, Kjarkur are just a few of the next generation of Alphans. They are great massers and have lots of allies.

I like reading old threads - I had almost forgotten my Alpha/omega period.

Do you guys remember Eros? lol

Thanks for digging that up Jo. I had no memory of those events. But I can't help but notice how that war thread was much more interesting and everyone congratulated their enemy for each massing.

Although I did mass someone there called adius who was on a "not hit list" and I made him quit. I think he was the first one I massed out of the game.

Bunch of damn hippies! Complained about farming but had no damn defenses to speak of.
